About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Glass Installation Specialist to join our team at Alpine Glass Windows & Doors Ltd. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality glass installations for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine the type of glass, frames, and materials required for each installation
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass to precise specifications
  • Position and secure panes in frames, ensuring a watertight seal
  • Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products
  • Install door, window, and other hardware, ensuring proper alignment and function
  • Repair glass doors and other glass structures, using specialized tools and techniques
  • Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment, ensuring safe working conditions
  • Transport cases of glass, using proper lifting and handling techniques
  • Work from man-lift mobile equipment, cranes, and other lifting equipment, following safety protocols
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, ensuring accurate installation
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in glass installation or a related field
  • Working at heights training and certification
  • First Aid Certificate and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and a focus on quality
  • Physical stamina to lift heavy loads and work at heights
