We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at North York General Hospital. Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, education, and treatment planning
- Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals, including Registered Practical Nurses and Personal Support Workers
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care
- Develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of our geriatric patients
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to ensure the highest level of care
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
- Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Experience in rehabilitation or long-term nursing preferred
- Proficiency in interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with computerized documentation and electronic medical records
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- 3 years of LTC Charge Nurse Experience an asset
- Bilingualism in French/English an asset
