Project Manager Land Surveyor Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager Land Surveyor to join our team at GeoVerra. As a key member of our BC Geomatics team, you will be responsible for leading project teams to deliver quality work on time and on budget. Your expertise in project management and land surveying will enable you to effectively manage client expectations, scope creep, and scope changes through active communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project teams to deliver quality work on time and on budget.
  • Monitor project and team performance, forecasting project outcomes and adjusting where necessary to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Manage client expectations, scope creep, and scope changes through active communication.
  • Identify and resolve client, project, and/or team issues.
  • Communicate with clients and internal team members to ensure a timely flow of information, actions, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
  • Ensure Quality, safety, legislation, and industry standards are met or exceeded.
  • Facilitate an environment of high performance, mentoring and supporting the development of self and project team members.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to sites.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Geomatics Engineering Technology, B.Sc. in Geomatics.
  • Registered as a British Columbia Land Surveyor (BCLS).
  • 3+ years of previous project management experience with demonstrated success in managing: Client Expectations, Scope, Budget / Forecast, Schedule, and Quality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Effective time management and strong organizational skills while working to project deadlines.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as per the limits provided in the Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace.
