Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Education Teacher to join our team at Burnaby North Secondary. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for teaching 3 blocks of Early Childhood Education (ECE) and providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for our students.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach 3 blocks of Early Childhood Education (ECE)
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of all students
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
  • Provide a safe and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or academic equivalent in an appropriate field of study
  • Relevant methodology course
  • Valid BC Teaching Certificate
  • Knowledge of effective instructional strategies and consultative and collaborative strategies
  • Recent, successful, substantive teaching or practicum experience in the relevant grade level
  • ECE Certification
  • Relevant experience in ECE programs

What We Offer:

  • TTOC Salary Range: $59,711 to $109,842 per annum based on Teachers' Salary Grid
  • Placement on salary scale will be determined by years of experience and qualifications in accordance with collective agreement
  • Opportunity to sign up for benefits as per the Teachers' Provincial Collective Agreement
