Bakery Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Specialist to join our team at Bouwa Whee Catering. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality baked goods, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies to ensure a well-stocked kitchen.
- Bake mixed dough and batters to perfection, meeting established quality standards.
- Prepare special orders, including decorating cakes and baked goods.
- Draw up production schedules to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Operate machinery, including mixers and ovens, to produce high-quality baked goods.
- Organize and maintain inventory, including tracking stock levels and ordering supplies as needed.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
- Dental plan and health care plan available.
- Permanent position with 40 hours per week.
- English language proficiency.
