Utilization Clinician

About the Role

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to fill the position of Utilization Clinician. This role will work in collaboration with staff and leadership to identify site-specific and system barriers to patient flow and develop solutions to alleviate these barriers.

Key Responsibilities

• Work in partnership with site leadership to develop and implement solutions to improve patient flow and reduce barriers to care.
• Act as a resource to staff by consulting on professional practice issues related to interprofessional care planning, problem solving, and workflow.
• Develop and maintain effective professional relationships with individuals and teams in a complex environment.

Qualifications

• Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
• Four years' recent, related experience in an acute/community care environment.
• One year's experience in a leadership role, including experience working with patient flow and systems analysis.
