Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic - Heavy Truck Specialist to join our team at Serbo Transport Inc. The successful candidate will have a strong background in heavy truck repair and maintenance, with a focus on ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet.

• Troubleshoot and inspect heavy trucks to detect faults and malfunctions
• Diagnose issues using computerized testing equipment and determine the extent of repairs required
• Order parts and maintain inventory to ensure timely completion of repairs
• Adjust and repair or replace defective parts as needed
• Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and adherence to manufacturers' specifications
• Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work to extend the life of our vehicles
• Perform repair work on heavy trucks, including brakes, transmissions, and suspension systems
• Service attachments and working tools to ensure optimal performance

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in heavy truck repair and maintenance
• Strong knowledge of mechanical transmissions, wheel-mounted vehicle suspension and steering, highway vehicle tires and wheels, and brake systems
• Ability to diagnose complex issues and develop effective repair solutions
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset

• A competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience
