We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Kitchen Operations Assistant to join our team at Moods Eatery & Cafe. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Inventory Management

Assist in planning menus and estimating food requirements to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Supply Chain Management

Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain accurate inventory records to prevent stockouts and overstocking.

Culinary Preparation and Presentation

Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet our high culinary standards.

Kitchen Maintenance and Sanitation

Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met.

Equipment Maintenance and Ordering

Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain a well-stocked and well-maintained kitchen.

Record Keeping and Reporting

Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment to inform kitchen operations and improve efficiency.

Cleanliness and Organization

Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our staff and customers.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.

Experience

Experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an asset.

Language

Fluency in English is required.

Work Schedule

30 hours per week.
