About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at GOAT Kitchen and Meats. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality meat products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cutting and Preparing Meat
    • Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters to prepare for processing or cutting
    • Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers
    • Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat
  • Meat Handling and Display
    • Wrap and package prepared meats
    • Remove bones from meat
    • Weigh meats for sale
    • Price meat products
  • Customer Service
    • Sell meats to customers
    • Supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers
  • Store Operations
    • Grind meats
    • Train meat cutters
    • Make special sausages
    • Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products
    Work Environment

As a Meat Cutter at GOAT Kitchen and Meats, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will be required to lift and move heavy objects, and work in a physically demanding environment.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to lift and move heavy objects
  • Excellent customer service skills
