Retail Store Manager

Jay's Mart is seeking a highly skilled Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our sales floor, ensuring a positive customer experience, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Effectively manage and allocate tasks to sales staff to ensure seamless customer service and efficient store operations.
- Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of sales associates to meet the needs of our customers.
- Order Merchandise: Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of merchandise to meet customer demand.
- Authorize Returns: Process customer returns and exchanges in a fair and efficient manner.
- Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and minimize labor costs.
- Sell Merchandise: Provide exceptional customer service and promote sales of merchandise to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Prepare Reports: Analyze sales data and prepare reports to inform business decisions and drive sales growth.
- Resolve Issues: Proactively address customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Organize Inventory: Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure efficient stockroom operations.
- Supervise Staff: Provide guidance, coaching, and feedback to sales staff to ensure they meet performance expectations.
- Manage Cash: Ensure accurate and efficient cash handling procedures are in place.
- Conduct Performance Reviews: Regularly evaluate sales staff performance and provide constructive feedback to drive improvement.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a retail environment.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
