Medical Office Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to support our Specialized Services clinics. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining inventories, cleaning and sterilizing equipment, and performing administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory of medical/surgical supplies, biologicals, and equipment
- Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments to ensure a safe and healthy environment
- Perform a variety of reception and administrative support functions, including word processing, composing, and signing correspondence
- Type program reports and documents from notes and/or recording devices
- Answer general inquiries related to programs and policies

Qualifications- Grade 12
- Medical Office Assistant Certificate
- Recent, related experience of one year or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
- Ability to work independently and in cooperation with others
- Ability to operate related equipment
- Ability to organize and prioritize
- Ability to type 45 wpm
- Knowledge of general office procedures
- Ability to establish and maintain rapport with clients
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of medical equipment
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and procedures
