Job Summary:
The Maintenance Repair Worker is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and custodial duties associated with building maintenance activities, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the proper operation of mechanical, electrical, and boiler systems
- Maintaining the grounds, including lawn maintenance, snow removal, and ensuring safety
- Inspecting buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions
- Performing minor electrical and plumbing maintenance
- Performing minor painting and other related duties
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and cleaning floor areas daily
- Disposing of garbage daily
- Identifying stains and using proper chemicals for removal
Requirements:
- Grade 12 with a class five (5) power engineering certificate preferred or a minimum of Fireman's level
- Minimum of two years' experience in building maintenance
