Job Summary:

The Maintenance Repair Worker is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and custodial duties associated with building maintenance activities, ensuring a safe and clean environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the proper operation of mechanical, electrical, and boiler systems
  • Maintaining the grounds, including lawn maintenance, snow removal, and ensuring safety
  • Inspecting buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions
  • Performing minor electrical and plumbing maintenance
  • Performing minor painting and other related duties
  • Vacuuming, sweeping, and cleaning floor areas daily
  • Disposing of garbage daily
  • Identifying stains and using proper chemicals for removal

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 with a class five (5) power engineering certificate preferred or a minimum of Fireman's level
  • Minimum of two years' experience in building maintenance
