About the Role:
Anderson First Rate Contracting is seeking a skilled Drywaller to join our team. As a Drywaller, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in various settings, including insurance restoration repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Blueprint Reading and Design Implementation: Read and interpret blueprints and designs to ensure accurate installation of drywall.
- Lift Operation and Ceiling Panel Placement: Safely operate a lift to place ceiling panels, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
- Panel Preparation and Installation: Prepare drywall panels by sawing, drilling, or cutting holes for electrical outlets, air-conditioning units, and plumbing.
- Measurement, Cutting, and Fitting: Measure, cut, and fit drywall panels to the inside framework of a building, ensuring a precise fit.
- Compound Application and Smoothing: Apply compound to joints and seams, using trowels to spread and smooth the material.
- Finishing Touches: Cover nail and screw depressions with compound, apply additional coats as needed, and sand areas after each coat to achieve a smooth finish.
- Physical Demands and Safety: Must be able to lift 50 pounds and maintain a clean work area, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Teamwork and Communication: Work effectively within a team, following instructions and communicating clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
- Driver's License and Abstract: Possess a current BC driver's license and a clean driver's abstract.
