We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Jukai Japanese & Thai. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for planning menus, estimating food requirements, and supervising kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine food portion sizes and costs
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes
  • Train staff in food preparation and handling
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Fast-paced environment
  • Physically demanding
  • Standing for extended periods

Work Conditions:

  • Permanent position
  • 40 hours per week
  • English language
