Job Title: Construction Labourer

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team at Link Builders. As a Construction Labourer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of our construction projects.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, including loading and unloading materials, cleaning and lubricating equipment, and performing routine maintenance work. You will also be required to work under pressure, handle heavy loads, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Clean and lubricate cranes and other equipment
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications
  • Operate cranes mounted on boats or barges to lift, move, and place equipment and materials
  • Perform routine maintenance work
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
