We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Interior Health Authority.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising designated staff, planning menus, and developing recipes according to nutritional and therapeutic diet needs of patients/residents. They will also be responsible for estimating food requirements, ordering and receiving supplies, and resolving discrepancies with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of food service staff
  • Plan and develop menus and recipes to meet nutritional and therapeutic diet needs
  • Estimate food requirements and order supplies
  • Monitor expenditures and make recommendations for budget allocations
  • Evaluate meal quality and quantity
  • Coordinate meal preparation and pricing for community-based services
  • Assist in maintaining facility in-house services
  • Perform audits to ensure compliance with food service and quality assurance standards
