HSE Advisor

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join Dexterra Group as a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, contractors, and clients.

• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE systems, standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Coordinate the planning and implementation of HSE programs at our remote facilities, including emergency response planning and training.
• Conduct incident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
• Liaise with equipment operators, drivers, contractors, vendors, and other personnel to promote a safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE mandates.
• Stay up-to-date with local, provincial, and federal OH&S codes, regulations, and laws, and provide training and guidance to staff as needed.
• Collaborate with the HSE Manager, Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) Claims Coordinator, and other stakeholders to ensure effective HSE management.

• Three (3) years' experience in a safety-related field.
• National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation or equivalent.
• Canadian Registered Safety Professional designation.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of federal and provincial OH&S rules and regulations.
• Direct experience assessing training needs, creating training materials, and delivering training.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license.
