Job Description

Astra North Infoteck Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Informatica IDMC Senior Developer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing ETL processes using Informatica Powercenter and IICS/IDMC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze data to draft KPIs and build data sources, reports, and dashboards to address business questions.
  • Work with subject matter experts and stakeholders to understand business problems and ETL system design, development based on business requirements.
  • Translate detailed specifications into Informatica/IICS ETL process design.
  • Analyze, design, develop, test, and document ETL processes.
  • Meet business requirements and deliver required code following industry best practices.
  • Accomplish ETL processes with scripts programming like VB, Shell, or Perl scripts.
  • Utilize SQL, scripts, and/or other tools to assist with solution development.
  • Conduct unit tests and assist in test preparations to ensure data integrity, data quality, and program quality.
  • Assist with troubleshooting of ETL processes in Quality Assurance/SIT or Production environments.
  • Work closely with software developers, architects, business analysts, designers, and clients' representatives to define the direction and approach to design and development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related area.
  • 8-10 years of overall ETL development experience in a large IT organization, including a minimum of 5+ years of strong hands-on development experience in Informatica Powercenter and IICS/IDMC.
  • Solid knowledge and experience with SQL and relational platforms (Oracle or SQL Server).
  • Very good communication and client management skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the proven ability to negotiate and influence others to obtain desired results.
  • Strong professional consulting skills.
  • Ability to speak in business terms, as well as the ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally.
  • Mature, confident, and performance-oriented.
