Job Description

Job Title: Special Needs Educator - Rehabilitation and Education Specialist

Job Summary:

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to develop and implement intervention programs for individuals with special needs.
  • Work directly with service users to ensure their education and rehabilitation in an institutional or external setting.
  • Foster the rehabilitation of individuals and/or groups through education, training, and support.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to special needs education and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education and rehabilitation plans in collaboration with service users, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide education and training to service users, families, and community partners on topics related to special needs education and rehabilitation.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify the needs of service users and develop strategies to address those needs.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement programs and services that promote the rehabilitation and education of individuals with special needs.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to special needs education and rehabilitation.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as special education, rehabilitation, or a related field.
  • Experience working with individuals with special needs in an educational or rehabilitation setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education and rehabilitation plans.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, policies, and procedures related to special needs education and rehabilitation.
