Salary
The salary range for this position is CAD $42.27/Hr. - CAD $52.81/Hr.
Job Description
We are looking for an Indigenous Cultural Youth Care Worker to join our team in Bella Bella. As an Indigenous Cultural Youth Care Worker, you will provide support services to designated clients within the Youth Mental Health & Substance Use program. You will act as a bridge between Western medicine and Indigenous culture by providing treatment services to Indigenous youth with serious mental health and substance use issues.
You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, maintain and adjust treatment plans. You will assist clients to develop and achieve the goals outlined within their individualized treatment plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support services to designated clients within the Youth Mental Health & Substance Use program
- Act as a bridge between Western medicine and Indigenous culture

- Assist clients to develop and achieve the goals outlined within their individualized treatment plan
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Child and Youth Care or a Bachelor's degree in an equivalent, appropriate health-related discipline. You should also have two years' recent related experience working with Indigenous youth/young adults experiencing significant mental health, substance use and trauma in an interdisciplinary health care setting using cultural and traditional practices.
