About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Placement Broker to join our team at Hub International Insurance Brokers. As a key member of our commercial lines team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing and broking initiatives to drive growth and revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and plan marketing and broking initiatives to meet business objectives
- Negotiate terms with insurance carriers to secure new business and renewals
- Develop and maintain relationships with insurance carriers to stay up-to-date on market trends and opportunities
- Review and analyze policy wordings to ensure proper coverages are in place
- Monitor the insurance marketplace and maintain a current database of changing company appetites
- Act as senior client contact when producers are unavailable
- Review and compare quotations received to ensure accuracy and outline any coverage restrictions
- Provide alternate carrier options as needed
- Ensure there are no gaps in coverage for clients
Requirements
- Level 2 General Insurance License
- Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of commercial lines insurance experience
- Minimum 5 years of commercial placement broking/marketing experience
- Strong technical knowledge and experience working with and interpreting insurance policies
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team-based environment
- Be able to prioritize and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities
- Working knowledge of EPIC and PolicyWorks
