Food Service Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Operations Manager to join our team at Coffee Marie Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management and be able to lead a team of staff in delivering exceptional customer experiences.
About the Role- This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
- The successful candidate will work 30-40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
The Food Service Operations Manager will be responsible for:
- Establishing efficient methods to meet work schedules and ensure smooth operations.
- Requisitioning food and kitchen supplies to maintain high-quality standards.
- Supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring timely delivery and presentation.
- Training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to promote a safe working environment.
- Estimating ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory levels.
- Hiring and managing food service staff, promoting a positive work culture and high employee retention rates.
- Ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings.
- Preparing budgets and cost estimates, monitoring expenses and identifying areas for cost savings.
- Maintaining accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business decisions.
- Preparing and submitting reports on operational performance, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
- Communicating effectively with the chef and other stakeholders to ensure seamless food order summaries and deliveries.
- Maintaining knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres and menus, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
- Supervising and checking assembly of trays, ensuring presentation and quality meet expectations.
- Supervising and checking delivery of food trolleys, maintaining timely and efficient service.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A college or CEGEP diploma in hospitality, food service management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in food service management, preferably in a similar environment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
- A strong focus on quality, customer satisfaction, and staff development.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
