About This Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled CBRE GL Sr. Accountant to join our team at CBRE Group, Inc.

This role will be responsible for complex accounting activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

About the Job:

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement financial models to support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Answer escalated questions regarding various accounting issues and reports.
  2. Prepare income statements, balance sheets, and various other accounting statements or financial reports.
  3. Review the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications.
  4. Evaluate various complex accounting variances, reports, and records. Make recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures.
  5. Maintain, record, and reconcile billings and accounts receivables for large clients, markets, or accounts.
  6. Create month-end accounting entries. Reconcile discrepancies and posts to the general ledger.
  7. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations. Check transactions from the subsystem to ensure data is accurately sent.
  8. Examine financial statements and documents for conformance with accounting requirements and fundamentals.
  9. Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
  10. Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  11. Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.
  12. Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
  13. Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  14. Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
