Job Description:
At Alberta Ltd, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our culinary team as a Culinary Team Lead. This role is responsible for overseeing the preparation and cooking of complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure they meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Order supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and provide feedback and coaching to ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest standards.
- Clean kitchen and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment for staff and customers.
- Manage kitchen operations to ensure that all meals are prepared and served on time, and that all food is handled and stored safely.
Requirements:
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with staff, management, and customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Passion for food and a commitment to providing the highest standards of food quality and safety.
