At Joamat Inc, we are seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials. Your expertise will be essential in fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, as well as scheduling and coordinating work on sites. You will also instruct apprentices and supervise other workers, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

The ideal candidate will have 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field, equivalent to a secondary (high) school graduation certificate. You will be required to work at heights, in noisy environments, and with dusty conditions. Your ability to handle heavy loads, work under pressure, and maintain a physically demanding workload will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Scheduling and coordinating work on sites
  • Instructing apprentices
  • Supervising other workers
  • Estimating costs and materials
  • Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments

Requirements:

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy environments, and with dusty conditions
  • Ability to handle heavy loads, work under pressure, and maintain a physically demanding workload
