About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team at Saint Vincent's Nursing Home. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building systems and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to building systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
  • Perform minor repairs on appliances and equipment
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
  • Work with minimal supervision to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
  • Work setting: Office building, Nursing home/home for the aged, Long term care center
