Job Title: Stucco Plasterer

We are seeking a skilled Stucco Plasterer to join our team at Apex Concepts Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints, as well as applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in stucco plastering and be able to work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages.

Responsibilities:
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
  • Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster
  • Clean and prepare surfaces
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces
  • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required
  • Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency
  • Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices and trim
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
  • Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings
  • Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms
Requirements:
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Physically demanding
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Standing for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Steel-toed safety boots
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will be working in a commercial, industrial, and residential setting, with a willingness to relocate for this position.
