Job Title: French Language Assessment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled French Language Assessment Specialist to join our team at the York Region District School Board. As a French Language Assessment Specialist, you will be responsible for evaluating the French language proficiency of candidates applying for French Immersion and French Core opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate French language proficiency through various assessment methods, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Develop and implement assessment tools and procedures to ensure fairness and accuracy.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to candidates on their French language proficiency.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure a comprehensive assessment process.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in French language or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in French language assessment or teaching.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
