Job Title: French Language Educator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified French Language Educator to join our team at the York Catholic District School Board. As a French Language Educator, you will be responsible for teaching French as a second language to students in the Primary and/or Junior and/or Intermediate Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach French as a second language to students in the Primary and/or Junior and/or Intermediate Division
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills

Requirements:

  • FSL - Part 1 and/or other French qualifications as recorded on Ontario College of Teachers Certificate
  • High degree of oral and written proficiency in the French language
  • Primary and/or Junior and/or Intermediate Division Qualifications
  • Desired Qualifications/Experience:
    • Experience teaching in the Primary and/or Junior and/or Intermediate Division
    • Trained in the Accelerated Integrated Method (AIM/Gestures)
    • FSL - Part 2 or Specialist
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
