As a Field Service Technician with Powell Canada, you will be responsible for ensuring the end-to-end safety, quality, and performance of Powell equipment across Canada. Your primary duties will include:
- Performing installations, preventative maintenance, and corrective maintenance
- Providing regular and clear communication regarding work schedule to Field Operations Scheduler and District Service Manager
- Maintaining flexible work hours, which will include overtime and periodic weekend support
- Traveling up to 85% of the year
You will be working in an industrial environment, performing duties that require physical effort, including lifting/moving objects up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, sitting, and working at heights greater than 10 feet.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience as a shop and/or field electrical/breaker technician
- Basic knowledge of Electrical Industry manufacturing standards, specifically sections of ANSI IEEE C37 applicable to the design and manufacture of breakers and switchgear
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field (not required but preferred)
Preferred qualifications include NICET Level 1 certification, HUET/Offshore Survival Training, NFPA 70E training, and OSHA 10/30 training. However, these certifications can be provided by Powell Canada if the candidate does not already possess them.
