Job Title:

Assistant Professor - Indigenous Cultural Safety and Nursing

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced nurse researcher to join our faculty as a Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Indigenous Cultural Safety and Nursing. The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing research, a demonstrated commitment to advancing Indigenous Cultural Safety, and a passion for teaching and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead a research program focused on advancing Indigenous Cultural Safety in nursing practice and education
  • Contribute to teaching and mentoring in the School of Nursing, with a focus on Indigenous Cultural Safety and nursing research
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the University and Providence Health Care to advance Indigenous Cultural Safety and nursing practice
  • Contribute to the development of policies and programs that promote Indigenous Cultural Safety and nursing practice
Requirements:
  • PhD in nursing or a related field
  • Experience in nursing research and practice
  • Strong commitment to advancing Indigenous Cultural Safety
  • Excellent teaching and mentoring skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders
