Job Overview

Ruex Cafe and Bar is seeking a skilled Restaurant Operations Manager to lead our daily operations. This is a permanent, full-time position offering 35 hours of work per week.

Estimated Salary:

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience.

Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
  • Determine Service Offerings: Develop and implement operational procedures for Ruex Cafe and Bar, ensuring exceptional customer experiences.
  • Conduct Performance Reviews: Evaluate team members' performance, providing constructive feedback and guidance to improve overall service quality.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory levels, ensuring efficient stock management and minimizing waste.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for employees and customers alike.
  • Sourcing and Negotiations: Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies, securing the best possible deals for Ruex Cafe and Bar.
  • Customer Engagement: Address customer complaints or concerns, providing prompt and effective solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Event Management: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations, including managing events and ensuring seamless execution.
Supervision:

This role involves supervising a team of 11-15 people, requiring strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment:

The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, working under pressure with tight deadlines. This role requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or non-university certificate/diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years, or equivalent experience in restaurant operations management.
