Resident Care Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Aide to join our team at AgeCare Cariboo Place. As a Resident Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Responsibilities:- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, as well as serving meal trays and snacks.
- Support residents with mobility and transfer needs, including lifting, turning, and positioning.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Administer first aid and provide emergency care as needed.
- Engage residents in activities and provide companionship to promote social interaction and well-being.
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care and support to residents.
- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is an asset.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and other relevant certifications.
- Immunization records, Tuberculosis test, and a criminal record check.
