Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Delivery Driver to join our team at Galactic Transport Logistics Limited. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering and picking up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, while ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and Pick Up: Safely transport and deliver messages, parcels, and other items by hand, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Relay Information: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring accurate and timely communication.
  • Transport Dangerous Goods: Transport and handle dangerous goods, adhering to strict safety protocols and regulations.
  • Sort and Deliver Packages: Sort packages for delivery and ensure timely and efficient transportation.
  • Use Maps and Planning Aids: Utilize maps and other trip planning aids to optimize delivery routes and reduce travel time.
  • Record Trip Information: Record trip information, including vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems encountered.
Requirements
  • Attention to Detail: Possess strong attention to detail and ability to accurately complete tasks.
  • Physical Demands: Be physically capable of performing the demands of the job, including lifting and carrying packages.
  • Flexibility: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced logistics environment.
  • Team Player: Work effectively as part of a team, communicating with colleagues and management to ensure seamless operations.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week in a fast-paced logistics environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Language: English is the primary language used in this role.
