Job Summary: At Honest Restaurant, we are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Cook, Ethnic Foods. This position involves coordinating special events, planning menus, and preparing/cooking meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent supervisory skills, be able to maintain inventory, and ensure a clean and safe workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation and Presentation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring high-quality presentation and flavor.
- Menu Planning and Management: Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization, taking into account dietary restrictions and customer preferences.
- Event Coordination: Coordinate special events, such as catering and in-house events, ensuring seamless execution and excellent customer service.
- Staff Training and Supervision: Train kitchen staff and helpers in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, as well as supervise kitchen staff and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Work Conditions:
- Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and deadlines to meet.
- Physically Demanding: Perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.
