The Payroll and Benefits Specialist role at Fastfrate Group is a key position that requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work accurately with sensitive data. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll for unionized and non-unionized employees across multiple pay cycles.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Process payroll for employees on weekly, biweekly, and semi-monthly cycles
  • Evaluate and apply wage increases, benefits changes, and deductions in accordance with collective agreements and company policies
  • Maintain accurate records of employee hours worked, vacation time, and other entitlements
  • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll legislation, including tax regulations and legal requirements

**Requirements:**

  • Certification in Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM)
  • Minimum three years of experience working within a Canadian payroll system
  • Knowledge of federal and provincial payroll regulations, including tax laws and legislative requirements
  • Experience working with collective agreements and negotiations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
