Job Summary

GARRY MECHANICAL INC. is seeking a skilled Gas Technician to join our team. As a Gas Technician, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining gas heating units and their components, as well as advising clients on standards, safety features, and maintenance of gas units and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install gas heating units and their components
  • Service gas heating units and their components
  • Install and maintain meters and regulators and gas lines between gas unit and gas meter
  • Repair and service gas appliances and related equipment
  • Advise clients regarding standards, safety features and maintenance of gas units and systems
  • Test and adjust control mechanisms and check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
  • or equivalent experience
  • Gas Fitter Certificate - Level 2 or B
Work Environment
  • Fast-paced environment
  • Handling heavy loads
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week
