As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient processing of inbound materials and refuse of various forms through our industrial disposal process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating and inspecting forklifts, roll off trucks, and skid loaders.
  • Managing the safe operation of site equipment in assigned areas.
  • Performing minor maintenance and adjustments on equipment using tools and parts provided by our company.
  • Conducting daily motorized machinery inspections on site equipment.
  • Reviewing and recording CRT demanding line processing levels and providing to supervisor daily.
  • Assisting supervisor with security procedures, including examining and tracking personnel and ensuring all entrances are properly secured.
  • Completing additional assigned duties.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in the operation of mechanical equipment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as rules, technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and other procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to take appropriate safe action on your own initiative to prevent equipment damage or injury to personnel during emergencies or unusual situations.
