Equipment Operator

Job Summary:
This is a manufacturing role that involves operating hand and air-powered tools to produce parts for custom equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with stainless steel materials and operating various machinery, including punch presses, overhead cranes, and testing equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate equipment in accordance with standard operating and quality assurance procedures.
- Work with roll former and trimming department to produce high-quality parts.
- Set up and operate spot weld machines, and perform routine and repetitive assembly operations.
- Start up, adjust, and operate machines used in production to ensure proper and efficient operation.
- Setup and operate forming equipment to ensure proper forming and fit of parts.
- Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other material from surfaces of metal parts.
- Read blueprints, scan barcodes, and complete work orders through data collection terminals.
- Check quality of finished products and report any concerns or requirements for assistance.
- Be flexible and open to changes in assignment to provide support to other areas of the department.
- Perform general housekeeping and organization of work area.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- 1 to 2 years of related manufacturing experience using hand, air grinding, and spot welder tools.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a team and within a fast-paced environment.
- Basic use of computers and RF scanners.
Work Environment:
This role is based in a manufacturing environment working on production machinery. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible with changes in assignment.
