Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in Powell River, BC. As an LPN, you will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to clients with mental health and substance use challenges.
Job SummaryThis is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate LPN to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care, including assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Responsibilities- Provide practical nursing care to clients with mental health and substance use challenges
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Conduct assessments, provide education, and support clients and their families
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence
- Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses
- Successful completion of additional education in mental health and/or substance use
- Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives
- Comprehensive knowledge of mental health treatment principles and practices
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
