Licensed Practical Nurse

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in Powell River, BC. As an LPN, you will work independently and collaboratively as a member of an inter-professional care team to provide optimized scope of practical nursing functions for clients with stable or predictable states of health.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, care plan, implement, evaluate, and document client care
- Provide support to clients and their families
- Collaborate with clients and families who are experiencing health challenges related to chronic disease, mental health, and substance use
- Work collaboratively with a Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RN/RPN) to care for clients with unpredictable outcomes or where the acuity or complexity of care requires a level of knowledge and skill beyond the scope of practice of an LPN
- Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses
- Successful completion of additional education where Mental Health and/or Substance Use are the primary diagnosis as outlined by BCCNM or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
- Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
