WineDirect is the leading provider of Direct-to-Consumer platforms for wineries. We're seeking an exceptional Head of Engineering to lead our software engineering team and drive innovation in the wine industry.

About the Role

As Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing all engineering operations, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals, and developing engineering strategies to deliver high-quality products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and ensure successful product launches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the software engineering department
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies and processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence
  • Oversee recruitment, development, and retention of top engineering talent
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Manage the engineering budget and resource allocation
  • Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics
  • Ensure the security, reliability, performance, and scalability of our platforms

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role
  • Strong technical background with expertise in relevant technologies and methodologies
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate high-performing teams
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with budget management and resource allocation
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices
