Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Loan Monitoring Director to join our team at Turner & Townsend Group. As a key member of our loan monitoring team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to ensure the successful delivery of loan monitoring services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and assure loan monitoring reports, including preliminary and monthly reports.
  • Lead a team of loan monitoring professionals, ensuring they deliver on all accountabilities.
  • Guide the team in conducting regular assessments of progress claim reports, including submitting invoices, evaluating changes, analyzing on-site progress, and recommending loan disbursements.
  • Review and certify payment requests to ensure accuracy, compliance with contractual terms, and proper documentation.
  • Develop and analyze pro forma budgets to ensure alignment with market conditions and similar projects, compliance with contractual and schedule requirements, and allowance for risk is captured.
  • Research and analyze construction market conditions throughout the region, including analysis of official published data.
  • Take responsibility for developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.
  • Lead proposals for new work or variations for existing commissions.
  • Attend relevant industry events and other promotional opportunities.
  • Financial management – utilize tools provided and track ongoing margin levels and monthly fee/resource forecasts for each commission and the overall service.
  • Staff management – provide performance reviews of loan monitoring staff.
  • Recruitment – manage the recruitment process, including interviews.
  • Knowledge management – ensure key information and learning generated from each commission is input into the Turner & Townsend internal database.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in loan monitoring and a minimum of 3 years of management experience with the ability to mentor a team of 3+ members.
  • Recognized university degree.
  • Certification in relevant professional organizations (PQS/MRICS).
  • Effectively able to pivot between a delivery and management role.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada.
