Laboratory Assistant BSN

This Laboratory Demonstrator BSN position is responsible for assisting instructors in the everyday operation of the laboratories, ensuring that all laboratory equipment and supplies are prepared and set up for scheduled laboratory periods. The successful candidate will assist with laboratory demonstrations, provide assistance to students, and maintain the facility, equipment, and supplies.
Key Responsibilities
Prepares and assists with laboratory demonstrations, provides assistance to students, and helps supervise laboratory activities.
Responds to students' inquiries pertaining to laboratory matters and related subject material, referring students to instructors as required.
Supervises examinations as directed.
Requirements
BSc. Nursing and 5 years' related experience and experience working with students in an educational setting or an equivalent combination of training and/or experience may be substituted for the required qualifications.
Current practicing member of the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a member of a team.
Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage several time-sensitive tasks at any given time.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of RN entry-level competencies.
Medical supply knowledge.
Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office and email.
