Job Title: Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at Grand Falls Agromart Ltd. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials to various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transportation: Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials to various locations, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, including checking tires, brakes, and other essential systems.
  • Logistics: Plan and adjust routes to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions, using computer equipment and GPS navigation systems.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: Air Brakes Endorsement and Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks).
Working Conditions:
  • Work Environment: Overtime required, repetitive tasks, and sitting for extended periods.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
