About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic Helper to join our team at Bura Limited. As a Mechanic Helper, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mechanics in the installation, maintenance, and repair of motor vehicles, heavy equipment, and truck-trailer repair.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist mechanics in the completion of tasks, including moving tools and equipment, holding stakes during surveying activities, and signaling safety procedures to other workers and the general public.
  • Help tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas, maintaining a safe and organized environment.
  • Support the installation, maintenance, and repair of motor vehicles, heavy equipment, and truck-trailer repair, working under the guidance of experienced mechanics.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in the installation, maintenance, and repair of motor vehicles, heavy equipment, and truck-trailer repair.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require manual dexterity, lifting, and handling heavy loads.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a variety of environments, including outdoors, with exposure to dust, noise, and other physical demands.
  • Work under pressure to meet deadlines and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Occasional travel may be required for training or work-related purposes.
