Herc Rentals is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy equipment, ensuring they are in peak operating condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including aerial lifts, telehandlers, skid-steers, compressors, and light towers.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, including fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and propane systems.
  • Conduct oil changes, lubrication, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements, and other services as needed.
  • Recondition and replace parts as necessary to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Operate and test equipment, including boom lifts, forklifts, compressors, portable and stationary generators, hydraulics, pumps, and other tools and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements:
  • Journeyman Off-Road Certification/HET Red Seal in Heavy Duty.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience repairing aerial equipment.
  • Ability to work constructively under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a professional customer service-focused attitude.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and a clean driving record.
