
Inventory Management Specialist

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Inventory Management Specialist to join our team at FortisBC. As an integral part of our operations, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, coordinating multi-faceted manufacturing projects, and maintaining SAP database for inventory management.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory levels by setting appropriate inventory levels for cycles throughout the year, tracking turn rates, supporting physical inventory audits, and cycle counts.
- Coordinate multi-faceted manufacturing projects by liaising with Procurement, Distribution, Transmission, Shops, Warehouse, Engineering, Project Management Office, Vendors, and other stakeholders to facilitate communication.
- Assist with the development of appropriate SAP reporting tools, maintain SAP database for inventory management & recall of Tools and Equipment, and facilitate disposition or redeployment of surplus and obsolete material.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of the Supply Management Training Program or equivalent (e.g., SCMA).
- Minimum 3 years direct work experience in Material Management or equivalent.
- Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize SAP and develop a sound working knowledge of MM and FI modules.
- Demonstrated understanding of investment recovery practices and approaches.
