About the Role:

Evergreen seeks a seasoned fundraising leader to drive strategic growth and propel the organization forward. As Director of Fundraising, you will oversee the development and execution of a comprehensive fundraising strategy, working closely with senior leadership and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a multi-year fundraising plan to secure principal gifts, major donations, and planned gifts from diverse donors.
  • Lead planning and goal-setting for the department, in partnership with the CEO, to achieve ambitious fundraising targets.
  • Cultivate relationships with Board members, senior volunteers, and external advisors to support Evergreen's fundraising objectives.
  • IDentify, solicit, and steward major donors to build a robust funding pipeline.
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership to assess and develop organizational strategic and financial goals, ensuring alignment with approved program budgets.
  • Work closely with the Director of Marketing and Engagement to ensure mass fundraising and donor stewardship strategies support the fundraising pipeline.
  • As needed, lead strategic fundraising campaigns for major capital projects.
Requirements:Qualifications:
  • Diploma or degree in fundraising, public relations, marketing, management, business, or related field; CFRE credential considered an asset.
  • Proven track record of closing major gifts and strong Moves Management skills.
  • Demonstrated success in planning and implementing organizational fundraising strategies.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple projects while leading a team.
  • Experience using fundraising software and advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  • Knowledge of placemaking an asset; experience in capital campaign fundraising environments an asset.
Working Conditions:
  • Position based out of Evergreen's head office at Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto.
  • Hybrid work environment with on-site presence required for certain events/meetings.
  • Regular hours, Monday to Friday (flexible) with occasional evenings and weekends for events, meetings, or deadlines.
What We Offer:
  • Full-time, permanent position.
  • Target Hire Rate: $120,000 - $130,000 annually.
  • Employer-paid health and dental benefits package, 4 weeks paid vacation, 3 personal days (Evergreen Days), birthday off, and professional development opportunities.
