About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead our renewable energy projects from early to advanced development stages. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with development, engineering, and major contract teams to ensure project readiness and optimization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Coordination
    • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
    • Coordinate efforts related to construction and engineering activities for projects during various development stages.
  • Cost Estimation and Risk Management
    • Develop construction and operations cost estimates in collaboration with engineering, construction project managers, commercial, and major contract teams.
    • Assess class estimates required for projects given their development stages and provide guidance to commercial and major contract teams.
    • Develop and maintain pre-construction risk registries and apply adequate contingencies to estimates.
  • Project Governance and Execution
    • Implement project governance mechanisms, including cost control tools, schedules, risk matrices, and project execution plans.
    • Actively involved in industry networking events to maintain the company informed of any government or incentive programs or foreseen industry trends.
  • Handover and Transition
    • Plan and coordinate handover activities from development to construction and from construction to operation stages.
  • Industry Knowledge and Networking
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, government regulations, and market developments.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the renewable energy industry.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong project management skills, including planning, coordination, and execution.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Proficient in MS Office, including Microsoft Project, Visio, and Excel.
    • Bilingualism (French and English, written and spoken) is required.
